Most of the morning is spent on land going over terminology, boat fit, equipment, etc.
In the afternoon, everyone gets on the water. Here the group is getting ready to head onto the water.
Instructors teach various skills and then the assistants practice and receive feedback.

Here is the scoop rescue is being demonstrated before everyone practices it. There are times when due to injury or a disability, a swimmer will need to use this rescue.
