Do you offer tours?

No, we focus on instruction only. We can refer you to an outfitter who offer tours on Lake Superior.

***

Do you rent equipment?

No we do not. Northern Waters Adventures www.northernwaters.com rents equipment. If you are taking one of our classes, make sure to let them know so they do not require you to take their safety class. By taking certain SKS classes that meet their safety class requirements, you can continue to rent from them without taking their safety class. Contact us if you have questions.

Do you do customized instruction for groups?

We can setup classes for groups of 4 or more. Class content can be tailored to your groups need, interest and skill level. Contact us for more details. Given our busy schedule during the summer, please contact us as early as possible.

Do you do private instruction?

Yes we do. Private instruction allows focused instruction tuned to your learning style and current skill level. We charge $35 per hour per person with a minimum of two hours required. Contact us for available times. Given our busy schedule during the summer, please contact us as early as possible.

Do you do classes in a pool?

Rarely anymore. Pool rental fees have risen significantly and now run between $75 and $150 per hour. This has increased the cost so we have had very little interest.

How do I register for a class?

Go to the Registration page and follow the instructions there. Unfortunately, we do not have 100% online registration at this time.

Do you sell equipment?

No we do not offer used or new equipment for sale.
