Formed in 2002, the Marquette Sea Kayakers Email List has been a place for paddlers to socialize, plan get togethers, and discuss paddling online. All people are welcome to join irregardless of skill level. However, all paddlers are expected to have the appropriate safety equipment, skills and attitude when participating in events.

Photo by Frida WaaraGo’s (SAG) paddles bring people together at places such as Presque Isle, Little Presque Isle, Wetmore’s Landing, Picnic Rocks, Lower Harbor, Chocolay River and more. In 2003, somehow an ice cream run to Frosty Treats or Jilberts ended every paddle. In addition, the Grand Island Kayak Social is an annual campout head since 2000 at the Grand Island National Recreation Area by Munising. Last but not least, look for an Ice Out Contest every spring. The winner who guesses the day the ice goes out has their name & the ice out date engraved on a plaque that was donated by Mike Wellborn.

The email list is hosted by Topica.com. An email list allows people to subscribe/unsubscribe automatically. All email addresses are kept private.
